Her photographs have a distinctive style; by combining her photographic skills with her graphic design background she creates stylish, poignant and beautiful images. It is important to Yvette that photographs do not merely record events but rather, they must capture a moment.

The ambience within Yvette’s work is best described with the following statement. "Photography gives us the opportunity to capture those fleeting moments that determine who we are and what drives us. It can document a rich tapestry of emotions, sentiment and narrate incredible stories. Each photograph can be read on its own or in conjunction with others to create a dense and intricate discourse." She believes everyone has a story and she portrays the individual’s personality and history in her images, as seen in her recent "Community" exhibition, a portrait of Mullumbimby.

Her collected body of work is a dynamic testament to Yvette's commitment to emotional resonance within her work and is a product of her unfaltering pursuit of excellence. An excellence that has been recognized within the industry, Yvette has been a finalist in several photographic competitions such as the Olive Cotton Award for portraiture.

With a portable studio set up Yvette is available to shoot in all types of locations, whether it be in the family home, on the beach or a sentimental location. As a result she can capture spontaneous images in a relaxed location.
